We ARE CLOSED. Thank you to our community for the last 3 years. The landlord would not sell to us or renew our lease, so we had to close our doors. We will miss you and are eternally grateful for the memories and fellowship.
We are a country grocery store, restaurant serving breakfast and lunch, and local hangout located off Scenic Byway 200, in a historic building in East Hope, Idaho. Since first built in 1907 as the Donovan-Hopka-Ninneman Co. to 1934 as “Butler’s Tourist Stop”, to the Hi-Hopes Market in the 1970’s through the 90’s–our store has seen a LOT of history.
Current owners Ross and Jamie Davis have great respect for that history and try to honor it and the community through this store and restaurant. Inside the cafe you will find historic pictures of Hope and East Hope and the generations that have gone by. And everything from the ceiling to the floor to the decor has meaning to it.
With all this history, plus incredible views of Lake Pend Oreille, great customer service, products, produce, beer, premium wine selection with unbeatable prices, and an incredible breakfast and lunch menu in our cafe–we are a must-see stop during your North Idaho travels.
